Chelsea Building Society Self-Cert Mortgage
Chelsea
Building Society - The mortgage that's tailor-made for the
self-employed
It
used to be the case that owning up to being self-employed
made it almost impossible to get a mortgage.
If
you decided to go it alone or earned your income through freelance
work, most lenders would ask for a minimum of 3 years' accounts
as proof of income, before considering your application.
But
now Chelsea Building Society can offer you an alternative.
Their Self Certification Mortgage lets you certify your own
income. You simply make a signed declaration of the amount
you estimate you earn and you don't have to produce any further
documentary proof. All Chelsea Building Society do is contact
your accountant to confirm that you are still trading. You
must be self-employed for at least 12 months to qualify for
a Chelsea Self Certification Mortgage.
The
Chelsea Building Society Self Certification Mortgage is to
be used for your principle residence and is available to borrowers
aged 21 and over.
