Building Society are confident that they can provide a product
and a service to help you in buying your new home or in remortgaging
to the Society. Across the North West (Lancashire, Greater
Manchester, Fylde, Lakeland & Cheshire) they provide new
mortgages and remortgages up to a maximum of 95%. For properties
in other parts of the country across England & Wales they
will lend up to a maximum of 80%.
The
Society subscribes to the Mortgage Code. There are three levels
of service under the Code (1) Advice & Recommendation
(2) Information on the different types of mortgage product
(3) Information on a single mortgage product only. The Society
provides level (2) and (3).

Building Society offer fixed, capped, cashback, flexible,
tracker and discounted rate mortgages.
Marsden
Building Society continue to advocate a face-to-face, personal
approach to the mortgage application process. They have a
network of 15 branches and a team of Business Managers to
guide you through the process and at a time and location to
suit you.
Proof
of Identity and Permanent Address
In order to comply with current legislation the Marsden Building
Society must obtain acceptable evidence of the following prior
to opening an account for you. This documentation must be
provided for all persons name on or connected with the account.
The same document cannot be used to prove both identity and
permanent address. If you are not able to provide the documents
outlined please contact your local Marsden branch or Principal
Office for assistance.
Marsden
Building Society is authorised and regulated by the Financial
Services Authority. The Society introduces only to the Norwich
Union Marketing Group, members of which are authorised and
regulated by the Financial Services Authority, for life assurance,
pensions and investments. Mortgages and General Insurance
are not regulated by the Financial Services Authority. The
Society subscribes to the Mortgage Code copies of which are
available on request. All mortgages are subject to status,
valuation, first charge security and age 18+. Written quotations
are available. The Society is a member of the General Insurance
Standards Council (GISC) and undertakes to comply with the
GISC General Insurance Code for Private Customers. A copy
of the Code is available on request. The Society has an internal
complaints procedure. Complaints they cannot settle may be
referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
