How much can you borrow?
You can borrow up to 80% of the valuation or purchase price (whichever is the lower). You should be a current homeowner in permanent employment, earning a minimum main salary or before tax profit of £20,000 p.a. The rent or expected rent on the property must cover the mortgage interest by 1.5 times.

This Residential Buy-To-Let Mortgage has a maximum loan of £1,000,000, with a maximum of 3 buy-to-let properties per individual/couple. The minimum property value is £40,000. If you are looking to let more than 3 properties, then we have an alternative product designed exclusively for you.

Skipton Building Society Insurance
You can opt to take out an insurance plan through the Skipton for building cover. However, this is not available when letting to students. If you decide to arrange your own insurances, a contingency premium of £50 is payable on completion.
