PLEASE
NOTE THAT BARNET WADDINGHAM DO NOT BUY OR SELL ENDOWMENT POLICIES
FROM OR TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC OR GIVE ADVICE ON SELLING
SUCH POLICIES
The
owners of with-profit endowment contracts who would otherwise
surrender their policies to the insurance company can often
obtain a better price for unwanted policies by selling them
to another investor via the second-hand market, now known
as the Traded Endowment Policy (TEP) market.
The
market has existed for over 150 years but has only grown significantly
in the last decade and now trades over £450m of policies
per annum.
Many
of the policies are held in large portfolios on behalf of
wealthy individual investors or collective investment vehicles
such as investment trusts that may be quoted on a stock exchange.
The
Barnet Waddingham insurance consultancy team provides actuarial
advice and other services to the owners of such portfolios
including the following.
- policy
selection
- portfolio
valuation
- portfolio
administration
