How
does Norwich & Peterborough's BrokerlineDirect.com work?
During
Normal Trading Hours
You
can buy or sell shares at any time during normal working hours,
provided that you have enough money in your deposit account
to buy the shares or that the shares you want to sell are
held within your portfolio.
To
buy or sell shares during normal trading hours simply enter
the stock details and the number of shares that you want to
buy or sell. You will then be told the current price of the
shares. To complete the transaction press the 'accept quote'
button. However, if you decide not to proceed with the order
press the 'cancel order' button instead and your instructions
will be deleted automatically. Full details of dealing commission
and other charges can be found on the FAQs page.
All
shares bought will be added to your portfolio and the total
cost of the transaction (the purchase costs, dealing commission
and other charges) will be debited from your BrokerlineDirect.com
Deposit Account.
All
shares sold will be deducted from your portfolio and the total
due to you (the sale proceeds less dealing commission and
other charges) will be credited to your BrokerlineDirect.com
Deposit Account.
All
transactions will be confirmed on screen and a contract note
confirming the details will be sent to you within 48 hours.
Outside
of normal trading hours
If you want to sell shares outside of normal trading hours
you can place your instructions on the Norwich & Peterborough
Order Book. They will then transact the deal for you as soon
as the market opens for business. You will get an indicative
price when you place your order. Instructions that have been
placed on their Order Book can be viewed, cancelled or amended
at any time before the deal is transacted.
