investment trust is a quoted company that invests in the shares
and securities of other companies to make profits for its
shareholders. Investment trusts are sometimes called ‘closed-ended’
vehicles because they only issue a set number of shares, which
means that demand for shares is directly reflected in the
trusts’ share prices.
