Association of Independent Financial Advisors ( AIFA )

Association of Independent Financial Advisors ( AIFA ) is the trade association representing the IFA - from the largest national firm to the smallest local adviser. They are increasingly recognised by regulators, the authorities and the media as the focal point for finding out the views of IFAs; and their voice is increasingly being taken into account when decisions affecting IFAs are made.

AIFA do not just communicate IFAs views. They also keep IFAs informed about developments which affect their business; they operate a helpline for regulatory and technical queries. The AIFA are mounting several initiatives sometimes with product providers, intended to help the effective operation of IFA businesses. They are for example, leaders in the debate of professional indemnity insurance and training and competence.

All their work aims to improve the environment within which IFAs run their businesses.

Their members matter to them. There is a programme for regular regional meetings so that two-way communication can take place and they can be sure that our agenda matches that of the IFA community. They welcome feedback from their members.
