Legal & General Fund Supermarket

easy to choose - easy to buy - easy to switch - easy to sell

By using the Legal & General Fund Supermarket you can invest in a choice of funds provided by Legal & General and by other fund managers. Having funds available from different providers all together like this gives you a greater choice of funds to invest in and makes it much easier for you to compare one investment with another.

Legal & General approach - a strategy that helps select the right funds

If you are going to build a portfolio to produce the results you want, there is a role for cash, index tracker funds and actively managed funds. The proportions of cash, trackers and active funds depend on your objectives, your attitude towards risk, how long you want to invest and how involved you want to be in the management of your portfolio.

Many investors adopt what is known as a 'core and satellite' approach to investing. This is where a proportion of the investment is placed in low to medium risk funds, such as cash or index tracking funds. This is known as the 'core' of the investment.

The remainder of the investment is then placed in actively managed funds. These are the 'satellites', which provide the potential for greater returns but at potentially greater risks.

The Legal & General Fund Supermarket does not give advice. If you have any doubts about investing you should consult a financial adviser.

For further information on the Legal & General Fund Supermarket visit the Legal & General website.
