Fund Management & Research is a venture capital investment
and corporate advisory firm. Formed in September 1997, the
company is based on three principles:

sectors exist where radical change is overdue and where opportunities
for investing in exciting new business models abound.

knowledge of the sector is a prerequisite for adding value
as a venture capitalist or corporate advisor.

Catalyst
Fund Management & Research's first fund, The European
Financial Services Venture Fund was a test of these principles.
They believe it was Europe's first venture capital fund focused
on the dynamic financial services sector. In September 2002,
Catalyst Fund Management & Research announced the launch
of their second financial fund, which has the same objectives.
In March 2003 they opened an office in Amsterdam and commenced
their corporate advisory activities. In June 2003, they also
announced their third fund, their first in the rapidly changing
social sector.
