Cantor Index Derivatives, Options, Futures and Warrants
Options
are complex products and should be used only by those who
feel that they understand the underlying risks that are involved.
Cantor
Index quotes a wide range of Option products covering most
of the financial markets including equities (single stocks),
foreign exchange, equity indices (FTSE, DOW, etc.), interest
rates and commodities.
The
Options trader must appreciate the fundamental difference
between an Option and a futures contract. A futures contract
is an obligation to both the buyer and seller to deliver or
take delivery of an asset at a certain price on a certain
date. An option gives the right to the buyer only, to deliver
(or require delivery of) an asset on or before a specific
date at a fixed price. All Cantor Index Options expire against
an Official Market Price and are not deliverable, but cash
settled.
There
are two main types of Options. A 'Call' option is the right
to buy an asset at a fixed price on or before a specific date.
A 'Put' option is the right to sell an asset at a fixed price
on or before a specific date.
