purpose is to promote commerce and industry in the United
Kingdom.
The
Venture Site bring together small and growing companies looking
for equity funding and "business angels" - private
investors, usually with a strong business management background,
who will not only contribute money but also a wealth of experience
and direct involvement in business.
The
Venture Site is exempt from the restrictions imposed by the
UK Financial Services Act 1986 on advertising and arranging
investments.
Although
their primary focus is on the United Kingdom, The Venture
Site do accept and have a large number of Companies and Investors
based in the United States, Canada, continental Europe and
Asia.
The
Venture Site is an Associate of the National Business Angels
Network (NBAN), the UK's "network of networks",
which is supported by the Department of Trade and Industry.
