International Company Services Offshore Trusts
The
first operating company of THE INTERNATIONAL COMPANY SERVICES
LIMITED GROUP commenced business in the Isle of Man in 1977
and over the last 22 years they have become one of the largest
offshore company and trust specialists in the world.
Through
providing corporate services which assist in mitigating tax
International Company Services became involved in offshore
tax planning which depends upon personal migration and so
by extension they now offer immigration and passport services.
In
1984 International Company Services established a representative
office in London, marking the start of our International expansion
plans. In 1988 they opened an office in Dublin, Ireland to
allow them to promote the Irish non-resident company following
policy changes by the Ministry of Finance. In 1992 they opened
an office in Moscow to access the important Russian market
to, in particular, provide tax favourable vehicles for trade
between Russia and the West In 1993 their Turks & Caicos
Islands operation obtained one of the first professional trust
licenses to be issued in the Jurisdiction. To achieve this,
every aspect of their operation was subjected to the most
rigorous scrutiny. In 1995 International Company Services
established a presence in the USA, and also the Czech Republic.
In 1997 their Canadian office located in Montreal opened.
In 1998 they opened an office in Kiev, in the Ukraine and
last year they established an office to cover the Iberian
peninsular based in Lisbon, Portugal. International Company
Services continue to be expansion minded, and have plans for
new offices during 2001.
International
Company Services currently manage over 6,000 offshore structures
for clients located in almost every country of the world.
Their clients are of varied profile; they advise governments,
major public companies and legal and accountancy firms but
their more typical client is the individual investor or businessman
who requires a relatively simple and inexpensive offshore
structure and who requires a comprehensive but reasonably
priced ongoing service.
Two
decades ago the offshore industry was still relatively small
and shrouded in mystique. Today it is estimated that over
60% of the world's money flows through or is held offshore.
It is probably true to say that no company which trades internationally
can expect to be competitive without taking advantage of the
tax breaks available offshore.
Good
tax planning can make the difference between success and failure
but is often given insufficient attention by those starting
a new business or making a new investment. "Offshore"
is no longer the preserve of the very rich and their organisation
has been one of the world leaders in making offshore facilities
available to a wider audience.
